The Youth
Council is an initiative of the
Association of “The Friends of Byblos”
Decree N° 144/ad - 2001
 From our confidence in the high
potential of the Lebanese youth.
From our deep belief in the youth’s
right to prove their constructive
abilities and in the need to support
their different talents and ambitions.
From our will to encourage a youth
current able to take on responsibilities
in civil society and able to embody the
aspirations of the new generations
Was born
the Youth Council of Friends of Byblos
Association
The council is a gathering of youth
wanting to be active in the heart of
civil society, interested in
participating in cultural, social,
humanitarian, environmental and sports
activities by rotating responsibilities
among themselves and that is an
inspiration for a better society which
respects Lebanese culture and social and
historical legacy, and the charter of
human rights.
Principals :
Commitment to the charter of the human
rights including :
- Freedom of expression away form any
exterior interference.
- Freedom of independent opinion away
from traditional tendencies.
- Respect of all different opinions and
constructive dialogue between groups.
- Faith in a modern civil society built
on national and unitary principles.
- Rejection of all forms of
confessionalism and segregation.
- Belief in social justice in all its
facts and the equality of all Lebanese
whatever their differences, and the
availability of equal opportunities to
all.
- The total rejection of corruption on
all levels. |
